On November 10th, students had the opportunity to attend the 5th Annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Colorado Summit at the University of Colorado-Denver.
On Friday, April 21st LBA had the the opportunity to visit multiple businesses and cultural spots in Denver. LBA first visited Convivo Café a gutarmlean café, co-owner Vivi Lemus gave the group insightful business advice. Following the café, LBA visited CSU Spur Campus where they received a tour of campus and overview of campus’ mission of community engagement with Latinx community in Commerce City. To end of the field-trip LBA had the opportunity to visit the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado where they met with LCFC CEO Carlos Martinez and learned more about the business model of a non-profit organization.

On Friday, February 24h at 2:00 PM, LBA’s group members volunteered at the Larimer County Food Bank. If you are interested in learning more about their volunteer opportunities, click HERE.
On Sunday, November 6th LBA visited the Denver Art Museum for a guided tour of the museum’s exhibit Who Tells a Tale Adds a Tail: Latin America and Contemporary Art
LBA also had the opportunity to visit Denver Dos Luces Brewery, where the group enjoyed non-alcoholic gluten-free drinks of corn called chicha . One of the brewers explained the “history behind some of the many styles of beer traditionally brewed with corn, and have embraced corn as their core grain.” If you would like to look into them more. On Thursday, October 27th at 5:00 PM, LBA’s group members joined together at El Centro for dinner, to study and work together on homework. If you couldn’t make it, our next study session is on December 8th starting at 5pm in El Centro.
On Wednesday, September 14th at 4:00 PM LBA hosted the first monthly meeting of the 2022-2023 year. We shared upcoming events and new ideas for events/functions for LBA’s future planning.
