Near Peer Mentoring Program

The Near Peer Mentoring Program in the College of Business (COB) began in the 2019 Spring semester. The program follows in the footsteps of other Near Peer Mentoring programs operating within Colorado State University (CSU) and partnering with Fort Morgan High School (FMHS) students. The vision for the Near Peer Mentor Program is to provide peer mentoring for FMHS students that creates opportunities to explore higher education opportunities while helping dispel myths and break down perceived barriers to attending college. The COB program is a partnership between CSU, the COB, FMHS, Morgan Community College (MCC), Fort Morgan businesses, and Bank of Colorado.

Highlighting pathways to higher education for Colorado high school students from undeserved schools with a focus on peer mentoring and careers in business.
