The Sophomore Support Team, otherwise known as our SST, is the newest addition to our program. It was implemented at the beginning of the Fall 2022 semester and serves as a way for second year students to benefit in our program after their first year and before they are able to become mentors. 

Much like the first year Mentees that get guidance from their third- and fourth-year mentors, the SST can get a similar support system from other sophomores in the program. Members on the SST get paired or grouped with their peers and meet with them five hours each month to help each other out academically, socially, and mentally.  

Our program is excited to see how this addition will develop and support second year students in their second-year success and beyond! 

Members of the SST traditionally will have been mentees in their first year, but those who would like to join the program in their sophomore year as welcome to apply as well!  Applications open in the spring and require a 2.5 GPA.
